Colour Manipulation #1

Step one:
Find the image you want.
I am using this


  • I advise you start out with this for the tutorial.

    Step two:
  • Find a colour suitable for your avatar/image.
  • I am using #001338.
  • Make a new layer.
  • Flood the new layout with the colour.
  • Then goto Layer>>blending options>>Exclusion.




    It should look like this




    Step three:
  • Make another new layer.
  • Flood it with #476A56.
  • You may find another colour.
  • Now goto blending options>>overlay.





    It should look like this.


    You can repeat these steps with other colours/gradients/patterns until you get the hang of it.

    I ended up with somthing like this.
